“You’reDead” was a live staple since 2019 but didn’t really take shape until 2022 after a long bit of pandemic induced creative block. What used to feel like a cheeky phrase to repeat on a dance floor had absorbed the anxiety of returning to crowded spaces. Wrapped up in that apprehension, it felt right to let the track dive into full disassociation before rebuilding itself. No better way to shake off nerves than to move your body with friends and strangers.
